Prof. Dr. Leonie Sundmacher

Prof. Dr. Leonie Sundmacher has been head of the Department of Health Services Management at the Faculty of Business Administration of the LMU Munich since October 2013.

She studied economics, health economics and political science at the University of York and at the Free University of Berlin and got her PhD in economics at the TU Berlin in 2010. Her research focuses on management in the health care sector, in particular intersectoral quality management and regional health care research.

From 2016 to 2019, Leonie Sundmacher was a member of the Expert Advisory Board of the Innovation Fund at the Federal Joint Committee (G-BA) and the BMBF's Advisory Committee on Health Services Research. Since mid-2018, she has been a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for the Further Development of Morbidity-Oriented Risk Structure Compensation at the Federal Insurance Office and a member of the Commission for a Modern Remuneration System at the Federal Ministry of Health.
