Annemarie Fajardo

Annemarie Fajardo, RN, PhD student, born in 1985, completed training as a geriatric nurse from 2004 to 2007 after graduating from high school and working as a nursing assistant and then worked as a geriatric nurse for a few years before taking on various management positions in the

inpatient and outpatient care for the elderly. From 2009 to 2013 she completed a part-time course in nursing management at the Hamburg Fern-Hochschule.


Graduated in nursing management (FH) and was involved as a volunteer board member in the Federal Association of Nursing Management (2016 to 2022).



From 2016 to 2018, she completed a part-time course in business psychology (Master of Science) at the FOM in the course of managerial and advisory positions, including at CURACON Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft. Since 2021 she has been volunteering for the German Nursing Council as its vice president.


Since 2022, she has also been a registered nursing specialist (RN) with the North Rhine-Westphalia Nursing Chamber. Annemarie Fajardo works full-time as an independent consultant, lecturer and lecturer at various universities in the nursing management, psychology and health and social policy courses, as well as an author and keynote speaker on all topics related to professional nursing and nursing management. She is also a founding member of the Institute for Care, Aging and Health (IPAG) and is currently completing her doctorate at the University of Gloucestershire on self-management structures of professional carers in Germany.
