Sophie Boissard

Since January 2016, Sophie Boissard has been CEO of the KORIAN Group and head of the Supervisory Board of KORIAN Germany. She also chairs the Fondation Korian pour le Bien-

Vieillir. A graduate of the French Ecole Normale Supérieure, the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (IEP) and the ENA School of Management (1996), Ms Boissard began her career as a lawyer for the French Conseil d'Etat (Council of State), where she had already worked extensively on public health issues, in particular on remuneration systems and fee scales for health institutions.


From 2007 to 2012, she worked as deputy office manager for Christine Lagarde, then French Minister of Economy, Finance and Industry. In September 2008, Sophie Boissard moved to the business sector by working then for the French railway company SNCF. As General Manager of the division Gares & Connexions, she developed new activities and initiated partnerships with groups such as Casino, JCDECAUX and Regus. In June 2012, she was appointed Deputy General Manager of the SNCF division Strategy and Development, before becoming General Manager of the SNCF division Real Estate in November 2014 and taking on responsibility for managing all the railway group's properties.


As a daughter of a German mother, Sophie Boissard knows Germany very well. She is fluent in German and is deeply committed to Franco-German relations. She is a member of the supervisory board of Allianz SE and chairwoman of a joint working group of the BDI and MEDEF business associations, where Boissard supports the exchange between the largest business associations in both countries. She is the mother of four children.
