Prof. Dr. Clarissa Kurscheid
Prof. Dr. rer. pol. Clarissa Kurscheid is a healthcare economist and head of the Digital Health Management programme at the European University of Applied Sciences in Cologne.
After training as a physiotherapist, she studied business administration and health economics at the University of Cologne, where she also completed her doctorate at the department of Social Policy. In addition to her university activities, she is the managing director of figus GmbH (www.figus.koeln), a private research institute for health and system design. In the context of health services research, she has been involved for years in the conception and development of health services concepts and processes and provides strategic advice to networks of doctors and associations in the health sector. In addition to health services research, the further development of gender-specific medicine and care is very important to her.
She publishes continuously on the topics of health services research, gender-specific medicine and care, and also focuses on the relevant questions of the further development of health services.
